Cecil Samuel Hill

In loving memory of Sam Hill: beloved husband, father, brother, and friend.

Sam passed away peacefully at his home in Wetmore, Colorado, on October 15, 2021. Sam was born on December 1, 1958, in Alabama and later moved to Georgia where he grew up. He then moved to Colorado where he met the love of his life, Patty Goetzfried. They were married for 33 years and raised three children together. Sam also played a big role in raising many nieces and nephews.

Sam was an ironworker for over 40 years, where he made numerous friends all over the United States. He was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and loved to tinker on his motorcycles. Sam also loved fishing, but most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.

Sam is survived by his wife, Patty Hill; brother, Rusty (Elizabeth) Hill; sons, Rodney (Michelle) Morgan, Sam Joseph Hill; daughter, Raven Price; 4 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home in Canon City, Colorado on October 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Green Parrot in Florence, Colorado.
