Daniel Ray McDaniel, 50, Cañon City, CO, was born in Daly City, CA on December 2, 1972, and left this world on January 14, 2023. He had lived in Denver, Colorado Springs, Guam, Oakland, CA, but called Cañon City home. He loved swimming, listening to music, dancing, telling funny stories, playing chess, and reading and was adventurous, mischievous, a hero who saved many lives and will forever be missed by those who loved him.
Daniel is survived by his parents Vincent and Juliana (Aragón) Fatula, favorite cousin, Mona (Monahan) Coulter, sisters Catrina Ruybal, Elizabeth Del-Muro, brothers, Michael and Anthony Ruybal, aunts, and uncles: Steve Aragón, Long Beach, CA, Leo Baca, Pat Workman, Carla Monahan, Mike Aragón of Cañon City; Antoinette (Ruybal) Bias, Kiko, Russell, and Eddie Ruybal, Bay Area CA, and countless cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Jack (Julian) and Louise Aragón, aunts Irene Aragón Luna, and Lynette (Skitter) Aragón Patrick, and cousin Billy Yelton, Cañon City; father Steven Ruybal, stepmother, Carmelita (Bayona) Ruybal, grandparents Aubrelio and Dolores (Alarcon) Ruybal, uncles Ron, John, Danny, and Greg Ruybal, Bay area CA. Donations to Cañon City Humane Shelter. Celebration of life later TBD.
