Glenna Rose (Gordon) Herod went home with her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus on October 14, 2021. She was born on January 26, 1954, in Denver, Colorado to Everett Glenn and Clara Belle (Wilson) Gordon.
Glenna graduated from CCHS in 1972. She retired from the USPS as a letter carrier in 2010, then moved to Penrose, Colorado. Glenna loved her grandchildren, studying the Bible, traveling, golfing, fishing, gardening, and meeting new people.
Glenna will be greatly missed by her loving daughters, Heather Nicole Engle and Heidi Lee Johnson; grandchildren, Petty Officer E-5 Matthew Engle, Madilynn Brown, Ross Brown, Glori (Yzzy) Johnson, and Punch Gabilando; great-granddaughter, Astra Knight; sisters, Brenda VanEgmond and Ruby Gordon-Penny; and brother-in-law, Robert Penny. She was greeted in Heaven by her parents; brother, Alan Gordon; favorite uncle, John Wilson; brother-in-law, Ronald VanEgmond; and nephews, Robbie Penny and Curtis Shane Elliott.
Services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, directed by Doyle Larson, on October 22, 2021, at 11 a.m. Eulogy to be presented by her daughter, Heidi Johnson. A Celebration of Life will follow at Connect Church in Canon City, Colorado at 1:30 p.m.
