Jeffrey John Iubatti

Jeffrey John Iubatti, 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He was born on November 8, 1931, to Vincenzo and Anna Iubatti in Canon City, Colorado.

He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army for two years during the Korean conflict. In 1969, he married Dorothy Lewis, and together they had a daughter, Tammy. Jeffrey worked for 24 years at the brickyard and foundry, and 24 years with the Department of Corrections as a correctional officer, all the while working on his farm. He loved working in the fruit orchard and had quite the skill of pruning trees. He enjoyed reading, riding bikes, telling stories, gardening, and yard work. Jeffrey had a strong Christian faith, and he was generous to a fault.

Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Tammy; his brother, Vincent (Jacqee) Iubatti; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Iubatti; and sisters, Flossy Worley, Rose Knight, and Theresa Parker.

A Rosary will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Canon City. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, also at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Lakeside Cemetery.
