Country music and the Rodeo world have endured a great loss… because the cowboy they wrote all those songs about has signed off for the last time. No more are the stories of the bulls he tamed, the horses he shoed, and the country music stars he met.
“Cadillac Jack”, John Wheeler, has taken his last ride. The legend of John Wheeler and stories regaled will live on through the lives he touched.
His daughter, Marty; son, James (Janean); 4 grandchildren, Helena, Hailey, Payton, and Gunner; and the rest of us, will most certainly remember the great man he was and the adventure-filled life he lived.
If John had parting words for us, I’m sure they’d be, “Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, I’ll see you down the road.”
