Richard Winn was born in Colorado Springs to John H. and Jennie Nebbia Winn. He attended Buena Vista Elementary, West Junior High and graduated from Palmer High School. After graduating he enlisted in the Navy, serving in several theaters including Vietnam. After his discharge he met the love of his life, Brenda Leslie. They were married on June 25, 1976. Brenda passed on April 4, 2026. Just a few months shy of their Golden anniversary.
Richard had a diverse professional history, including mining, manufacturing, and maintenance. Richard had recently moved from Mexico, MO to Canon City, CO. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing as well as team bowling. He was a gentle and caring soul who would help anyone. He loved dogs. He enjoyed making sweet potato pies for his friends.
Richard is survived by his sisters, Gail Juliano of Colorado Springs, CO, Jean (Don) Barnes of Reno, NV; and brother, Robert (Cheryl) Winn of Canon City, CO. Plus numerous nieces and nephews.
