Ruby Lee Maggard

Ruby Lee, daughter of Clarence Lee and Viola Belle (Icke) Helton, was born Jan 8, 1934, in McAlester, Oklahoma, and departed this life Jun 30, 2022, in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 88. Ruby was united in marriage Jun 10, 1950 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Marvin Wesley Maggard.  They celebrated 72 years and 20 days of marriage at the time of her death. Ruby and Marvin had two children while living in Oklahoma; Marvin Wesley Jr. (Brenda) and Marilyn Kay Maggard.  After moving to Pueblo, Colorado in 1953, they added two more children, Elfreida Jo Bennett (Alan) and Sondra Jean Duncan (Bill).  

Ruby is survived by her husband, Marvin; her four children, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and three sisters.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 11 a.m. at Union Highland Cemetery, 791 Arrowhead Drive, in Florence, Colorado. Services entrusted to Florence Mortuary.
