Sandra Linebaugh Obituary

Sandra Kaye Linebaugh, age 70, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 22 after a courageous battle with cancer. Kaye was born November 29, 1951 in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee to the late Raymond and Alice Gibson. She is proceeded in death by her two sisters, Susan Gibson and Alice Jean (“AJ”).
After completing high school in Chesterton, IN she continued on to and completed cosmetology school.
Kaye first joined in marriage and began her family with the late David Weimer. She is survived by their children, Kari Anne McClain, Corey Bliss, Aaron Weimer, Chad Weimer, Angela Tempest, Brent Weimer, Danielle Weimer, and her 13 grandchildren.

On March 2, 1996 she began her life as Mrs. Raymond J. Linebaugh, adding the bonus children James Mason, Ryan Linebaugh, Aaron Linebaugh, Courtney John, Cody Linebaugh, Lindsey Anguiano, and Lacey Linebaugh along with 11 bonus grandchildren.

Ray found in Kaye a companion whose charitable endeavors included the bi-annual organization of the 1st Battalion 9th Marines National Reunion and the yearly Cañon City Marine Corps Birthday Ball. The God & Country Music Festival, which honors veterans, first responders, and local heroes. Her ministry of intercessory prayer was instrumental in creating Cañon City’s Annual National Day of Prayer in the Park, Harvest Connections Ministries, Christian theater productions, and other ministries. These endeavors made her exceptionally gifted in supporting the causes near and dear to their hearts. In spite of the challenges life brought to them, the soundtrack of her life was often laughter. She loved to laugh and Ray brought her great joy.

Kaye made an impact on countless lives in her lifetime, of which will send ripples far into the future, reaching all the way to Heaven’s gates and straight into the throne room of her Maker.

A celebration of life service will be held on Kaye’s birthday, November 29th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rialto Theater in Florence, Colorado. She loved The Rialto, it was a place where she spent many hours of loving labor helping to create many memorable moments for others.
