Terry L. Acton, born April 18, 1943 to Ivan and Maxine Acton, passed away February 13, 2021. He is survived by Karen Acton, his wife of 39 years.
After high school, Terry spent four years in the US Army, where he served part of his service time stationed in Korea. Afterwards, he spent his life working in road and concrete construction and retired from Fremont County as a County Foreman in 2008. Terry was also a lifetime member of the Cañon City Elks Lodge.
During retirement, Terry very much enjoyed camping and fishing as often as possible. His greatest joy was babysitting and caring for his special great-grandchildren, Tilten and Tinley during their preschool years.
Summers were also a special time, with Terry working on his garden and having Cody help mow the lawn every weekend.
Terry is survived by children, Terry Jr. and Jody Acton, Rhonda and Roy Lippis, and Sara Jane Picco. He is also survived by grandchildren, Cody Acton, Tony (Crystal) Lippis, Stephanie (Zach) Cutter, Amanda (Justin) Gow, Shianna Picco; great-grandchildren, Riley Lippis, Sebastion Swan, Hope Gow, Faith Gow; brother, Curtis Acton; sisters, Susan Prom, Loy (Ann) Bellis; brother-in-law, Eddie Crawford and sister-in-law, Linda Sabus.
He was preceded in death by great-grandson, Gavin Guess.
