Urith Eileen Sneddon

Urith Eileen (Leo) Sneddon passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022. Urith, known to family and friends as Yo, was born on February 7, 1937, to John and Edith (Emery) Leo in Queens, New York. She met her husband, William Sneddon, in high school, and they were married shortly after graduation. They later divorced and Urith moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1969. She worked for the Department of Defense, eventually serving as a military intelligence analyst in West Germany. She returned to Colorado Springs and retired from government service. She later moved to Florence, Colorado and eventually settled in Canon City.

Urith is survived by her children: William R. Sneddon, David E. Sneddon, and Paul S. Sneddon; as well as grandchildren, Brittany and Will; and her great-grandson, Matthew.  She was preceded in death by her son, Alan J. Sneddon. She will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1449 S. 9th Street, Canon City, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Humane Society of Fremont County.
